Lowes Troy Bilt Storm 2410 Snow Blower. Item 789845.
When the forecast calls for a foot or more, count on this two-stage snow thrower to pull through. Quick starting and easy to operate, the two-stage Storm 2410 snow thrower will cut into drifts with its 21″ intake height and steadily clear the way.
This is a medium-duty two-stage snow blower and it will move snow better than most models on the market.
This snow blower is not for everyone, but if you have a driveway about 20 by 60 foot, this will do the job. Any area larger than that and you may want to step up to the 26″ or 28″model. The 2410 has six forward and two reverse speeds. If you are use to an electric snow blower, this unit is still easy to use, but you do need a little physical stamina because of its heavier size and weight.
This snow thrower is a very popular model and has been produced since 2010 with minor changes. It continues to be a solid, dependable snow blower and is still one of the best values out there. The 24 inch width is wide enough to make short work of average driveways yet small enough to easily go in and out the side door on your garage.
You can quickly clear most sidewalks in two passes. Can handle snowfall as high as a foot with no trouble. Two-year limited warranty. One of the most affordable two-stage blowers on the market.
Only downside is the manual chute control only offers 180 degrees of movement. Lacks power steering–something available in models only a step up in price. Engine is solid but be sure to use fuel stabilizer as it is hard to start in extreme ( 10 degrees or colder) weather.
The Storm 179-cc 24-in Snow Blower comes with electric starter. The electric starter allows you to simply plug into any GFI three-prong power receptacle and press the starter button to start the engine. This makes it a lot easier than using a manual pull starter. It does start rather easily and unless its really cold, just use the pull starter.
This two-stage snow blower is a gas model capable of handling snowfalls in excess of eight inches. These blowers are best for clearing large areas and have engine-driven wheels to better handle uneven terrain and reduce fatigue. An auger first collects the snow and an impeller fan then discharges the snow through a chute.
This two-stage process moves snow faster and farther than single-stage blowers. A two-stage model is essential for gravel drives since the clearing auger, elevated slightly by skid shoes, doesn’t touch the ground.
